Learn the history. A panel of Israeli speakers. Ben is a Dolphin Class submarine commander in the Israeli Navy. He spent over 10 years in operational roles, where he led dozens of operations as a submarine commander, several of which won the IDF awards. Ben also spent several years in HQ roles, where he led wide cross-organizational changes at the Navy HQ. Prior to joining the Navy, Ben completed a gap year, in which he volunteered with high-risk youth in the geographical periphery of Israel. Ben holds a degree in multidisciplinary studies from a joint program of Haifa University and the Israeli Navy Academy; he graduated first in class. Ben is a third generation to holocaust survivors, who came to Israel and were founding families of“Avihayil", an agriculture village in the center of Israel. Ben is married to Alisa and a father of three girls.
